Original Love Announces New Single '愛はアカリ (Love is Light)' on 35th Debut Anniversary, Budokan Concert Guest Lineup Revealed
Japanese pop band Original Love released their new single '愛はアカリ (Love is Light)' on June 14th, marking their 35th debut anniversary.
This new track follows in the lineage of previously released albums "bless You!" (2019) and "MUSIC, DANCE & LOVE" (2022), serving as a life-affirming song dedicated to this era of great transformation. The song carries a message of salvation that illuminates people through questions about the meaning of happiness, peace, and love, offering comfort to many hearts. Notably, NARGO, GAMO, and Atsushi Yanaka from the horn section of Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra—longtime musical collaborators of Original Love—participated in the recording, completing a sound that is even more brilliant and rich.
Along with this release, Original Love has unveiled the guest lineup for their historic first Budokan concert in Japan, scheduled for November 23rd: 'SOUL POWER BUDOKAN 〜From Then, And Into the Future〜 Dancin'- The 35th Anniversary Live'.

Confirmed as performers are the three Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra members who participated in the new single, as well as Ryosuke Nagaoka of The Petrols, who previously performed the 'ふたりソウルショウ (Two-Person Soul Show)' with vocalist Takao Tajima and released the live album "SESSIONS".
The lineup is further enriched by the addition of rapper PUNPEE, who collaborated on the track 'グッディーガール feat. PUNPEE (Goodie Girl feat. PUNPEE)' from "bless You!" and shared festival stages with the group. The session band for this concert consists of Takao Tajima (vocals/guitar), Yasuo Sano (drums), Hideyuki Komatsu (bass), Daisuke Kawai (organ), Shinya Kogure (guitar), and Megumi Mashiro (chorus). Currently, Budokan concert tickets are nearly sold out, and due to fan support, the venue has opened additional obstructed-view seating for purchase.
